If you are one of the many residents of Boerne who loves wings and beer, then you don’t want to miss the Wings & Beer Festival in nearby San Antonio. There will be a range of both items available, including some varieties you probably have never heard of before.
Date and Location
The Wings & Beer Festival will be at the Alamo Beer Company, which is at 202 Lamar St. in San Antonio, just a quick drive from Boerne. It will be on Saturday, March 24, starting at noon and running until 4 p.m. There will be limited parking in the lot of Alamo Brewery, but this will be first come first served. Or you can use the $2 lot just down the road.
Kids 12 years and under get in for free, but no wings are included in that deal. If you want to attend but don’t plan on eating wings, consider the no-sampling entry, which is $10 at the door or online. This gives you access to live music, entry, and the option to buy Alamo Beer. Most people will want general admission for $25 online or $30 at the door, which gives you 10 tickets for wings, a 16-ounce pour of some Alamo Beer, and the chance to vote on the best wings. There is also a VIP admission sampler for $50 online. This lets you in an hour early, 15 tickets for wings, the 16-ounce pour of beer, and the ability to vote.
What to Expect
During the event, you can get ice-cold beer from Alamo Beer Company to go with your delicious wings. You’ll find options from the best chefs in South Texas coated with flavorful sauces. There are 14 wing vendors attending, so you should come hungry if you want to try some from everyone.

Browse the 10 vendor stalls while enjoying your wings; just don’t get sauce on anything before you buy it! There will also be music playing all day long to set the mood. From 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., DJ Catwalk of Parde will play. Then, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., you can listen to Colorblog of Parde. Finally, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., El Tule takes the stage.
