Toyota Entune, a fully integrated multimedia navigation system, made its debut in the Toyota Camry lineup in 2012. Entune allows passengers to conveniently connect to their vehicle with their smartphone. The system is standard on the V6 SE and V6 XLE Camry, while offered as an option on 4-cylinder SE and XLE models.
Have you ever wanted to listen to your favorite Pandora playlists in your vehicle? Now you can with Toyota Entune, but that’s not all. The system utilizes mobile apps to provide the driver with search engine capability, traffic and weather updates, lowest gas prices in the area and even stocks or sports updates. Maybe you need to reserve a table for dinner or buy tickets to the movies at last minute. Entune can do that too!
If Pandora isn’t your thing, it also has access to music services such as iHeartRadio and XM Satellite Radio. All of this is tied together with voice recognition and Bluetooth integration. Current voice recognition capabilities include multimedia, phone and navigation commands.
In addition, all trims for the 2013 Toyota Camry will have Bluetooth connectivity and the screen-based Display Audio system. Consumers have the option between two navigation systems featuring either a 6.1-inch screen or 7.0-inch system with richer graphics.
As of December 10, 2012, the system is compatible with several smartphones including, but not limited to, the iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S or 5, Blackberry Torch and Samsung Galaxy Note or Galaxy S III.
