If you appreciate whiskey, then you should plan on attending the Distillery Tour and Whiskey Tasting at Andalusia Whiskey Co. that is coming up. The tour will be led by Ty Phelps, the founder and distiller. You’ll learn some interesting facts and can even sample some whiskey.
Where and When
The tours are planned throughout March and are every day of the week except Sundays. The tours start at 2 p.m. and last between 45 minutes and an hour. They are at the Andalusia Whiskey Company’s Tasting Room, which you will find at 6462 N. U.S. Highway 281 in Blanco. You can buy your tickets ahead of time for $12 through Eventbrite. Remember that tours are only for those who are at least 21 years old.
What You’ll Learn
The tour and tasting starts with the tour, where you get to see the distillery and find out how the production process goes along, moving from the grain all the way to the glass. You also get to see the copper pot still and learn about American single malt whiskey, a rapidly expanding category.
What You’ll Taste
At the end of the tour, you get to taste some whiskey. During the tasting, you sample several spirits at different points in the aging process. For those who prefer other beverages, you can also opt for a cocktail instead of the whiskey tasting.

About Andalusia Whiskey Co.
Andalusia Whiskey Co. prides itself on making handcrafted malt whiskeys. Its history began when Ty Phelps and Tommy Erwin met while both were working for Real Ale Brewing Company. They quickly became friends and soon decided to open their own whiskey distillery. With a combined background of culinary arts, brewing, biology, chemistry, and restaurant management, they started creating whiskey for locals to enjoy.
The best way to get to the distillery tour and tasting is in your auto from Toyota of Boerne. We just would like to remind you to drink responsibly if you plan on getting behind the wheel in Boerne, Texas.
