Make Plans for the Biggest Fiesta in San Antonio

Fiesta San Antonio

If you’re looking for a great way to spend the weekend, why not head over to the biggest fiesta in the state? Fiesta San Antonio started in 1891 as a one-parade event that was created to remember the heroes of Alamo and the Battle of San Jacinto. It has since grown to be much larger, and it brings in more than $340 million to the city each year. It runs from April 19 to April 29, with events stretched throughout San Antonio.

The fiesta now features several parades, and you can buy tickets for each of them online. Each parade is a little different and has a certain theme. The parades include the Texas Cavaliers River Parade on April 23, Battle of Flowers Parade on April 27, and the Fiesta Flambeau Parade on April 28. You can also find a map of the parade routes online.

Other Events

There are plenty of other events associated with the fiesta for you to enjoy, such as the Battle of Flowers Association Band Festival on April 26 at Alamo Stadium. Dozens of high school bands will perform at the 80th annual event.

The Cutting Edge Fiesta Fashion Show is at 6 p.m. April 18 at the McCombs Center. It features unique clothing styles and some of the area’s top designers.

The 32nd Annual Alamo Heights Night will be held from 5:30–11:30 p.m. April 20 in downtown San Antonio. It will feature food from different restaurants and caterers in the area.

The Fiesta Carnival is a free celebration that is perfect for families. It features rides, vendors, games, and entertainment for all ages. It takes place on April 19–29 between 401 and 449 South Cherry St.
