SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Toyota of Boerne is proud to announce the return of the successful Turkeys for Troops event on November 18th. 4,500 turkeys will be given away to military personnel and their families courtesy of Toyota of Boerne, Walmart, Security Service Federal Credit Union, iHeart Media and KSAT TV.

In addition, the Military Warriors Support Foundation’s “Home4WoundedHeroes” program (a nonprofit organization in San Antonio) is partnering with Toyota of Boerne for its third year to sponsor the Family and Financial Mentorship program that comes with being awarded a mortgage-free home.  There will be a presentation in front of the dealership to award a hero with a renovated, mortgage-free home generously donated by Wells Fargo at 1pm. “We’ve joined together in an effort to give thanks and show our support and appreciation for all of the hard work and dedication American troops provide for us,” said Vic Vaughan, owner of Toyota of Boerne.

“This is just a small gesture of thanks from our family at Toyota of Boerne.  We want this year to be the biggest event yet,” said Vaughan. “We hope that the public comes out to join us in our efforts to thank the troops. We enjoy holding this event annually because we are proud to support our troops in their constant endeavors to preserve our freedoms that we so often take for granted. Toyota of Boerne is a family owned and operated business, and this is simply our family giving thanks to all the brave men and women in uniform.” For more information, visit

Military Warriors Support Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity, founded by Retired Lieutenant General, Leroy Sisco in 2007. Our Mission is to provide support for our nation’s wounded heroes and Gold Star Families as they transition out of the military and into their new civilian life. This is a very fragile time for these heroes, and their families, and it is our goal to provide programs that facilitate a smooth and successful transition. Our programs focus on housing and homeownership, employment, as well as recreational activities and travel assistance. For more information on MWSF and all of their programs, please visit
