Who doesn’t love a fair? They have rides, entertainment, great food, and neat vendors. The King William Fair is Saturday, April 28, and it’s packed full of fun, including an awesome parade at 9 a.m. It’s the best family-friendly event in the area, and over 30,000 people are likely to attend. Admission for adults is just $15 and kids 12 and under are free!
The fair is a fundraiser for the King William Association, a nonprofit organization that works to preserve and protect the oldest historic district in Texas. It also promotes the heritage of the San Antonio culture. You don’t want to miss this fun fair.
There’s always plenty of entertainment at the fair, and you can expect to see a lot of local bands and artists. The entire lineup schedule can be found online. The music genres include jazz, country, Latin jazz, world jazz, polka, folk rock, garage rock, country punk, Mexican folk, bluegrass, and more. There will also be many dance performers throughout the event. Performers will be at one of three stages, and some may be performing on the streets.
Fun for Kids
The best part about this event is that it has something for the whole family. There aren’t a lot of places where you can bring your kids and have fun with them. The King William Fair offers crafts, rides, basketball, food, drinks, and other activities for children. Not only do you get to take your kids to have some fun, but you get to take pride in knowing that you supported a great organization in the process.
